Top 5 Homemade Recipes Passed Down from my Mom: Spending Time with Family

Sundays are my favourite days. Want to know why? Because nothing is more precious than spending time with family. One way I’ve always loved spending quality time with my family is through cooking, as its something I used to do with my Mom before she passed. When I left for college, she made me an adorable recipe book which I still use today… and these are our favorite homemade cake and breakfast recipes to make together as a family on a Sunday morning.

An homage to my Mom

My mom grew up in Iowa, and all of these recipes are totally homegrown. Picture the yummiest, most indulgent comfort food you can image, and it’s even better than that. The recipes below remind me of her so much, and I love that I get to make them with my kids and pass on her wisdom.

…p.s. for the butter + milk, always use full fat! It’s naughty but you won’t regret it…
