🌱 “To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.” — Audrey Hepburn 🌱
Over the past few weeks, we have been spending so much time creating this garden in our backyard!
It was a bit of a challenge to find a good one in stock because it seems like the world and their dog are buying planters during lockdown…
We ended up going for a custom build by a local man who specialised in this kind of thing, and we love it!
Watch this diy raised planter veggie garden video to see our step-by-step process from beginning to end! if i can do it, you can too!
Ta da, our ‘quarantine veggie garden’ video from picking plants at the nursery with masks to making the planter box, clearing the area, soil, sprinklers and finally the veggies!
We planted 🌽🍆🌶🍅🥒🥬
The best veggies to plant in a planter box in CA

Little bell peppers
Sugar snap & regular peas
Japanese cucumber (this thing is GROWING… cucumber’s for dinner, kiddos 😂)
Regular cucumber
Squash blossoms (they flower every day and look so pretty!)
Emperor Spinach (not looking so hot right now…)
Cherry Tomatoes
Sun Gold Pumpkin (this guy will need a lot of space because it grows like crazy!)
Yolo wonder sweet peppers
Banana Pepper
Chives
Basil
Sage
It was quite the project, but such a fun way to spend time together and teach Tudor and Aura about planting, different types of vegetables (that just maybe they will eat if they grew them!), and taking care of our garden so it will grow!
