DIYs at Home
It's almost Summer, which means a little more time at home for Tudor. He is only in school mornings twice a week now, but next year he will be three times until three, Alas, I've been cooking up a list of DIY projects for an upcoming blog post!
One activity we love doing together is Play Doh. I love this because Tudor gets to help make the Doh, as well as play with it. If your child loves being a helper in the kitchen, then you will love making Doh! It's super easy and you can add sparkles and scents to make it even more fun. For the scents you can add powdered drink mix.
I did a post on Doh a while back, but here is the recipe again :
Mix 1 cup flour with 1/2 cup salt & 2 teaspoons of cream of tartar in a pot over medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons of oil ( I used canola oil) Gradually stir in one cup of water that is mixed with 1 teaspoon of food coloring. Stir constantly (if you don't you will get lumps) and when ball forms remove from pot. Place on a plastic cutting board and knead until smooth. This is the best part as it's street therapy for free!
You can buy tools for the Doh on Amazon like these Tudor is using.
Psst...both my table and easel I scored at garage sales in my neighborhood. I am sanding, repainting and stenciling the table & chairs. Can't wait to show you the finished product.
Have any fun ideas you would like me to try with Tudor and include in the post? Let us know what your favorite DIY toddler activity is!
