Golden Gate Family Hike

It was just another one of those beautiful, sunny CA days. We met up with one of my best friends to do a dual family hike down to a beach near the Golden Gate Bridge.  I was excited to test my new Baby Björn One Air baby carrier on a longer hike.  Nicolae carried Tudor in our Arcteryx carrier. We used this one to do many hikes MT, UT and WY. Which reminds me, I need to do a post on our amazing vacation to some beautiful National Parks! Getting back to this hike let me let you in on this secret beach that even though is right under the GG Bridge, is not well known. Parking is easy, unless you go on a weekend, along the scenic road next to the Bridge. There are several trails you can take either heading up into the Headlands or down to the coast. This trail head is to the left off the first parking pull out up the road. You really can't go wrong with any of these and they are never that crowded as most people are there to just see the Bridge!

Aura's sweet fuzzy top is from the Gap as are her knit shoes. Her stretch jeans are from Zara Kids and her hat Janie and Jack. Tudor is rocking a Tucker + Tate sweatshirt from Nordstrom and Zara Kids stretch skinny leg tan jeans. I am a sucker for the skinny leg on him and love Zara and JCrew jeans. I have my Lalabu leggings holding in my tummy and we both have our Soloman hiking shoes we absolutely love.

Here are some of the Instagram worthy shots you can get from the top and down on the beach. Tudor loved throwing rocks in the ocean. Aura just loves being carried and was kicking her legs the whole time. She did fall asleep on the way back up.

'Gangs All Here'! Here is a shot of us, minus my hubbie taking the photo. Such a fun morning! Remember to take the time to get 'out'....'out' of the house and 'out' of your daily schedule. Especially, if you have young kids and a baby, you can get so wrapped up in the 'daily routine'. Getting out and putting things in perspective can be very healthy. The world is big, much bigger than our little one at home.

I would love to heat your favorite places to escape to. Where do you like to go? Love, us!

Lynn
