2019: My Year in Review
Happy New Year! With a New Year comes a fresh start, and it always encourages me to look back and reflect on the amazing year I’ve had as a Mama and get excited to plan 2020 & what’s to come!
We did it! We survived 2019!
Aura took ballet classes at The Tutu School and had a recital in the cutest tutu ever!
Holiday activities included Teddy Bear Tea at the SF Ritz, Napa North Pole Express Train, ice skating, picking our tree in Petaluma, skiing in Tahoe with the kids.
The kids activities included swim classes and they’re getting to be so good at it like Mama. Tudor took Ninja classes in Napa, Aura continues her gymnastics classes.
Trips we took include Palm Springs for Alt Summit and made a family vacation out of it, Atlanta Georgia for the Design Blogger’s Conference and we also made a family trip out of Austin Texas for Mom 2.0 too to see the ranches. We had our annual trip to Cape Cod, Stowe Vermont, visited my Dad in New York and visited NYC with the kids - we even saw The Color Factory! We travelled to Europe, visiting London & Crete, Greece to see Nicolae’s family. We also travelled to Pasadena to see the Botanical Gardens as a family.
We took road trips from Yakima Washington to SF, stopping off at Yosemite National Park where we hiked for days!
We visited the Evergreen Space Museum and my Brother’s family in Portland, Oregon where we even fed his chickens!
For the kid’s birthday parties we had a construction themed party for Tudor with Mr. Horsefeathers, and celebrated Aura’s birthday at home with unicorns.
Tudor is 4½ and had a fun year in Pre-K this year & Aura is 2½ and started Nursery School!
I feel like I’ve blinked and this year has flown by! I’ve keep trying to keep my sanity for a whole year, over the holidays it was great to to kick back and sip the egg nog and now it’s time to make plans for 2020. I know 50% won’t get done ;) how about you?
More than anything I’m thankful for our health after having several bouts of sickness in November, my family and all our blessings. This time of year always makes me send extra love to my Mom up in heaven, I know she’s looking down on me and my family and smiling with pride.
