Happy Mothers Day from me to you
Happy Mother’s Day to all moms and the moms who are no longer with us. Today we honor you! ♥
This week for Mother’s Day I thought it would be fun to talk about how vacations have changed since I became a mom…
“Silence is golden… Until you have kids… then silence is suspicious!”
Lounging by the pool
Oh the days of soaking up the sun! A day spent lounging around the pool, pina colada in hand and diving into my latest issue Elle Decor... Not anymore!
From water slides, sprinklers, to napping in the shade, repeatedly topping up sun screen and the mom hat patrol on duty these two crazy kids keep mom on her toes!
Mom’s Bag
I remember proudly carrying my cute purse everywhere I went, with nothing more than my cell phone, wallet and keys inside.
My bag now resembles more of Mary Poppins bag… you name it, I got it in there…
Water bottles? Sure
Kids used Tissue? What mom does not?!
Random snacks? Sometimes we need to keep them quiet!
I also have a ziplock bag with an assortment of first aid supplies and band aids.
a long car ride with kids…
Pre kids, my husband and I would take off on spontaneous weekend road trips, turning up the radio singing along to our favorite songs.
These days, we need back-up! We love keeping the kids entertained by playing card games, directed draw (or *whispers* iPads…) when we’re travelling.
Reaching our destination
Making it to our final destination… I feel like I’ve aged years, by this point I’ve heard the word Mom 10,000 times, the car is slowly filling with snack wrappers… then we got the kids out of the car and their faces light up, a twinkle in their eyes with excitement. Like a wave from a magic wand, the stress from that car journey just melts away as if it never happened…

An ICed Coffee
Now many of our trips these days require a coffee to fuel mom and dad! How many times do you microwave your cold coffee before you give up and drink it cold? 😂
I’m pretty sure iced coffee’s were invented for us parents! I’m a lavendar oat milk iced latte kind of gal myself (or Dunkin’ when we’re on the East Coast)… what’s yours?
Love Lynn
